CS2 Gambling in Poland 2026: Hazard Law and PLN Payouts

Using any public DNS (8.8.8.8 / 1.1.1.1) bypasses the ISP-level block entirely for platforms on the register. This is a technical measure, not a legal circumvention argument, it simply routes around a DNS block.

Poland has a developed crypto exchange ecosystem. Polish banks generally do not block transfers to regulated crypto exchanges; the banking restriction applies to direct transfers to unlicensed gambling operators (which the Ministry of Finance can require ISPs and payment processors to block).

Polish Regulated Crypto Exchanges

Zonda (formerly BitBay): Poland's largest and oldest crypto exchange (founded 2014 in Gdańsk), registered with UKNF (Polish Financial Supervision Authority) as a virtual currency business. Accepts PLN deposits via bank transfer (Elixir/SORBNET), BLIK mobile payment, and credit/debit card. BLIK deposits are near-instant (under 30 seconds). Supports BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, XRP, LTC, and 80+ tokens. This is the primary recommended exchange for Polish users. KYC requires PESEL number and ID document.

Kanga Exchange: Polish exchange, UKNF-registered, accepts PLN via bank transfer and BLIK. Good alternative to Zonda with competitive spreads. Smaller token selection but covers major assets.

Binance Poland: Binance's European entity serves Polish users. PLN deposits available via card and SEPA bank transfer. Largest token selection. KYC standard (passport, address verification).

Typical Route

1. Create a Zonda account. Complete PESEL-based KYC (10-20 minutes).
2. Deposit PLN via BLIK, instant, no fee for the user (Zonda may charge a small deposit fee depending on method).
3. Purchase USDT (TRC-20) or SOL.
4. Withdraw to gambling platform wallet.
5. Total time: 15-25 minutes from bank to platform balance.

BLIK's instant settlement makes the Polish route significantly faster than countries relying on standard bank transfers. Poland's payment infrastructure is modern, BLIK processed approximately 3.6 billion transactions in 2024.

Polish gambling taxation is relatively clear:

Licensed Polish operators: exempt from personal income tax for players under Article 21(1)(6a) of the PIT Act (Ustawa o podatku dochodowym od osób fizycznych). Winnings from licensed operators are tax-free at the player level, the operator pays tax on GGR.

Unlicensed offshore operators: winnings constitute "other income" (inne przychody) subject to PIT at 10% flat rate for gambling winnings, or at the progressive rate if classified as other sources. This is significantly lower than Sweden (30-57%) or India (30%). The 10% rate on gambling winnings is one of the more favourable tax positions for offshore gambling in Europe.

Cryptocurrency taxation: crypto gains are taxed at 19% flat capital gains tax in Poland (podatek od zysków kapitałowych). Each disposal event (selling crypto, swapping, or depositing to a gambling platform) is a taxable event. The 19% flat rate applies uniformly. Keep records of every crypto transaction.

Polish players should be aware that BLIK transactions to known gambling platforms may be declined by some Polish banks under Ministry of Finance payment blocking obligations. The blocks apply to licensed Polish banks' direct BLIK transfers to blocked domain operators, it does not affect crypto exchange BLIK deposits. The route through Zonda (BLIK → PLN → crypto → gambling platform) bypasses this restriction because the exchange is a legitimate financial institution, not a gambling operator.

Poland's blocking list is large but bypassed easily via public DNS. Most major CS2 platforms are accessible. Individual legal risk for offshore play is minimal, Article 128 is on the books but unenforced for individuals. Banking via Zonda BLIK is near-instant PLN-to-crypto. Tax position is moderate: 10% on gambling winnings, 19% on crypto gains, more favourable than Western Europe in both categories.
